Don’t utter the words “Balanced Scorecard” unless you’ve read Kaplan and Norton’s original articles about the Balanced Scorecard idea. If you can’t find those old copies of Harvard Business Review, try Kaplan and Norton’s Balanced Scorecard Collaborative website.

Daniel Kahneman won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2002, but he is not an economist. His work is in the ‘psychology of intuitive beliefs and choices’, in other words, how we make economic choices.
His Nobel Prize lecture, Maps of Bounded Rationality: A perspective on intuitive judgment and choice, is a summary of the history of his original work with Amos Tversky and recent developments in the field.
